Sunday 11 October'09: A car boot sale was held in Thame Upper High Street car park to raise funds for the memorial fund. Thank you to everyone who was involved (& thanks to BBC Oxford News who reported on it).


Friday 4 December'09: Thame Youth Memorial wristbands were sold at a stall in Thame prior to the town's Christmas light switch on. These are also available to buy in the Money Spinner in Thame.


Wednesday 16 December'09: Boys' Primary School Indoor Football Tournament was held at Thame Leisure Centre which raised funds for the memorial. Report by thamenews.net


Sat 19 Dec to Mon 4 Jan: Co-Op Thame collected over £100 from customer's donations.


Tuesday 29 December'09: A charity party at "The James Figg" in Thame was held in "The Stables" (formally TBA). Details here. Another charity party to raise funds is planned for next year.


For February "The Well" donated 10p from the sale of every cup of coffee to Thame Youth Memorial & raised £95. They also sold raffle tickets.

Barclays bank Thame branch held a fundraiser on Friday 12th Feb selling cakes, drinks etc in the branch. The theme is in relation to valentines day and remembering loved ones and they raised £240.

During February Waitrose in Thame supported Thame Youth Memorial through their "community matters" (green disc) scheme and raised £450.

Saturday 27 February'10: a quiz evening was held in Longwick that raised £552.

Friday 12 March'10: Sue Boyle held a fund-raising quiz evening at at Lord Williams's Upper School main hall raising £1,213.


Monday 15 March'10: a coffee morning was held at Chinnor Village Hall where £89 was raised.

Thursday 18 March: the year 8 students @ Lord Williams's School held a disco to raise funds.

Friday 19 March: Lord Williams's School students mufti day raised £670.

Friday 26 March: Haddenham School students held a mufty day to raise funds.

Tuesday 30 March: The Brothers Salon "Community Spirit" team sold over 700 raffle tickets in one day!!

Wednesday 31 March: Barley Hill School held a charity concert and raised over £500.

Saturday 3 April: Jamie Surman organised another football match at Thame Leisure Centre raising £180. Read the report from Thamenews.net

Raffle tickets were sold and the draw was held on Saturday 11 April 2010. First prize was £1,000 of Sainsbury's vouchers, second prize was a hot air balloon flight over Thame in the summer, and third prize was a pamper day at Brothers' salon in Thame. On Saturday 8 May'10 their was a charity car wash at Thame Ford in Rycote Lane. Thame Ford very kindly gave us the free use of their car wash for the day.

On Sunday 27 June, Andy Ford and the other Thame Firefighters, two of them in full breathing apparatus, ran the Thame 10k. They  raised funds for Thame Youth Memorial & Help for Heroes.


From 25-29 June'10, Peter Butt & Andrew Keen  competed in this year's Mille Miglia "Scally Rally", raising funds for Thame Youth Memorial in a 1992 Saab 9000.  Peter's blog. The car was also in Thame Carnival on Saturday 12 June.


On Tuesday 27 July at Thame Market fun day we held a stall to promote Thame Youth Memorial to the community. The Scally Rally car was also there too. Thanks to Thame Market for chosing us as their charity for this year's market fun day.














On Friday 24 September there will be a corporate golf day held at Magnolia Park to raise funds for Thame Youth Memorial. contact
